Arrivals of Palma De Mallorca Airport (PMI)
The arrivals area is located on the ground floor of the terminal. Once the passenger enters the arrivals hall he/she shall go through the Passport control in case of the flight is coming outside of Schengen area and follow to the baggage claim afterward. The Agencia Triburtaria (Tax Agency) established the total value of goods transported to Spain in personal baggage of the maximum amount of 430 euros for adults and 150 euros for kids younger than 15 years old. At the arrivals lobby at the car rental offices, the one may find many options to rent the car. Car rental companies available are Sixt, Europcar - InterRent, Record Go, Hertz - Thrifty, Axis - Terminal, Goldcar - Rhodium or Enterprise – Alamo - National. Moreover, the passengers might look out for the pre-booked transfer option. For the public transportation, the one shall follow up the signs allocated throughout the arrivals lobby.
At the arrivals lobby, the airport provides the passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) with the services targeted to provide the comfort and safety to the disabled passengers. That includes the assistance with the hand luggage, transfer to the baggage hall, help in going through the controls required and transferring to the Meeting area, where the passenger will be met be rather relatives or tourist agency staff.
For the special needs passengers, those between 5 and 12 years old, the airports provide special services that include providing children with the special bag containing their airline ticket, ID card, parental authorization and identification sheet when departing. Once the passenger arrives, s/he will be accompanied by the airport staff and carried to the baggage claim hall after which the person responsible will meet the child at the Meeting area.
